After importing my 33 GB worth of CDs into iTunes, I am being perplexed by Apple.

Tunes says I have 3646 songs on my NAS. It says I have 3629 songs in the library that comes from the NAS. My iPod says I have 3617 songs.

Is this the trickle-down theory?

Apple–it would be really nice if there were a built-in utility to sleuth out which songs I failed to get transferred, so I’m not perpetually left wondering which ones they are, and if they’re ones I care about.
