Although I have been very happy with Blogger for use on my PetesGuide and PushBack sites, up until now, I desperately need the ability to categorize posts, and the new pricing structure of Moveable Type is not quite to my liking; not to mention its cumbersome configuration and user experience.

So after looking around for other sophisticated blogging packages, I came across WordPress and a few others. But after reading the WordPress feature list and discovering its ability to create valid XHTML 1.1 content and in describing its “Typographical Niceties”, this text: For information about the proper use of such entities see Peter Sheerin’s article The Trouble With Em ’n En, it didn’t take me long to stop looking and start downloading.
