Using WordPress for a New Site

Although I have been very happy with Blogger for use on my PetesGuide and PushBack sites, up until now, I desperately need the ability to categorize posts, and the new pricing structure of Moveable Type is not quite to my liking; not to mention its cumbersome configuration and user experience.

So after looking around for other sophisticated blogging packages, I came across WordPress and a few others. But after reading the WordPress feature list and discovering its ability to create valid XHTML 1.1 content and in describing its “Typographical Niceties”, this text: For information about the proper use of such entities see Peter Sheerin’s article The Trouble With Em ’n En, it didn’t take me long to stop looking and start downloading.

Stay tuned for my adventures in installing WP on a new site I’m starting…
