When I first saw the teasers for Undercover Boss, I thought, “Great, yet another silly reality show”. But after watching several episodes, it has now become one of my favorites.

I can not over-emphasize how important watching this show is for anyone who is a CEO, wants to become one, or even manages a single employee/volunteer.

I can not over-emphasize how important watching this show is for anyone who is a CEO, wants to become one, or even manages a single employee/volunteer.

To get the most out of each episode, though, one really should read How to Win Friends and Influence People and Drive. These books will give you the appropriate perspective with which to judge the CEO.

But frankly, even those executives on the show who don’t quite grasp those principles earn high-praise from me, simply because they are open-minded and brave enough to expose themselves and the results of their management to the world.
